When it comes to reviewing nightlife in Delhi, discotheques cum restaurants and nightclubs come first in the list where delhites want to spend their whole night dancing on the music, having their best drink, and eating out yummy food. There are many amazing places in Delhi to night out and dance on music but the things that make a disc worth visiting are its music, size of dance floor, crowd, ambience, quality of drinks, food, and location. Some top discs for night out in Delhi are:

But a lot depends on what kind of music, DJ, and ambience you prefer. There are many options if you are looking for some place with Hollywood, Bollywood, Rock, and Bhangra beats and here are some I have tried:

ELEVATE IN NOIDA

Elevate is the best disc in Delhi NCR. I have seen many hard rocking groovy clubs in Frankfurt, London too, but Elevate is a notch better out of discs listed above, so delhites need to be proud of this disc. Also, Elevate is the second biggest disc in Asia. Drinks are nice. It plays all kinds of music. Crowd is pretty decent. All the big international and national DJs have played there. Also, it has the most amazing dance floor you will ever come across in Delhi NCR. These are just a few of the things that make Elevate one of the best and there is not much doubt about it.

Elevate surely comes at the top of everyone’s list. In 2006, DJ Mag, a premier publication in UK, for nightclubs has ranked Elevate at no 35^th worldwide in its “DJ Mag Top 50 disc/nightclub” rankings. Elevates is one of the best disco restaurants located in Delhi NCR. It is open on Weekdays from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. and is also open on Saturdays.

HARD ROCK CAFÉ is located in Saket New Delhi. This disc is a must for rock lovers.

TURQUOISE COTTAGE AND HARD ROCK CAFÉ

If you are a diehard rock lover, some hot discs are Turquoise cottage in Gurgaon and Hard Rock Café in Saket, Delhi. Stag entry is allowed in Hard Rock Café. Both these discs are a must for rock lovers. I have not seen a single disc/restaurant bar in Delhi NCR that plays better rock than both of them.

SOHO IN ASHOK CHANAKYAPURI

Good lounge music, small dance floor, drinks are okay. Ambience is moving towards “ethnic” and does not quite mix with the general atmosphere.

CALYPSO IN HAUZKHASVILLAGE

Good music, primarily house - though they have come up with a whole new music genre “commercial house” aka remixes again! Ambience is funky, good drinks, and friendly service. Small dance floor (bigger than Soho) and by midnight, there isn't much place to move around. Not sure how many people actually go there to freak out and enjoy the music.

THE DECK IN GURGAON

A great venue with a good dance floor, unfortunately the management has failed to realize the potential of the place. DJs bordering from bad to mediocre and they will NOT play House no matter how hard you try. I would not recommend the drinks here, if you must - go for sealed bottles. Food is not bad.

CAPITOL IN HOTEL ASHOK, CHANAKYAPURI

Nice big dance floor, friendly bar staff, drinks are okay. The staff at the entrance is definitely dodgy and damn irritating in terms of fluctuating entrance charges. Usually caters to the usual B/P music crowd, BUT if you try hard enough, from around 2 a.m. onwards the DJ does play house and usually some great selections.

DECIBEL AT HOTEL SAMRATH IN CHANAKYAPURI

Decibel plays popular and commercial music. The less said about the decor the better - uncomfortable seating and usually it is either too dark or too bright. Food is good and drinks are okay.

BUZZ IN SAKET

Buzz is very cheesy with loud decor. Music is too loud but the selections are okay. Drinks okay and service average.

MOJOS IN GURGAON

Mojo has small dance floor and usual commercial and popular music. Ambience is more of a restaurant.
